SOPES

INGREDIENTS:
Sopes
can of beans (rosarita refried)
lettuce
queso fresco (cacique dairy section has it)
chicken or beef
crema (sour cream)
salsa
salt
oil
onion (1)
tomatoes (2)
knorr suiza
green jalapeƱo chilies (2-3)

sopes come in a bag of 12 @ any mexican market there the little shells made of masa.. andrew knows what they look like...I always put knorr suiza on my food to give it that good mexican taste..

boil chicken or meat (easier to make chicken)
when done shredded and put it in a pan with a bit of the same juice that you boiled it in, ( half a cup) add diced onion and diced tomatoes and a cube of knorr suiza salt to taste, let it cook for about 10 minutes.turn off and let it sit while you prepare the rest of your ingredients.

on a separate pan warm up beans with a bit of oil or a bit of milk to make them soft you can also use lard, I prefer milk ( less fat)

diced lettuce

make salsa: boil 2 tomatoes and 2-3 chili jalapeƱos in sauce when soft put them in blender and add a bit of salt to taste.

heat oil in sauce pan, add sope shells and fry them on both sides, medium fire do not burn, turn every few minutes ,take out and put on plate with napking to dry excess oil,

to prepare sopes:

put beans on shell
add chicken
add lettuce
add queso fresco
add crema ( mexican sour cream)
add salsa

and ENJOY !!!
